We are recruiting for a Primary Teachers to work on a temporary supply basis covering PPA cover across Primary Schools in Wigan.

Milk Education are working exclusively with a number of Primary Schools in Wigan to support them with their PPA cover needs on a weekly basis. We are looking for KS1/ KS2 PPA Teachers to work on an ad-hoc basis ranging from 2-5 days per week depending on when you are available.

This KS1/ KS2 PPA Teacher role is working Monday to Friday 08:30am- 16:00pm. The role of a KS1/ KS2 PPA Teacher is to work across all year groups covering PPA as and when required to do so. You will be given a time-table to follow each day or each week and you will work closely with the class Teachers and Support Staff whilst undertaking PPA.

Your role & responsibilities:

  • Teaching the children in class, ensuring they complete their work
  • Guiding children through the curriculum and marking working
  • Managing behaviour
  • Upholding school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons

Non-negotiables:

  • You must have relevant experience teaching pupils
  • Hold QTS
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Be passionate and understanding
  • Have confidence in managing classes of pupils
  • Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
  • Good communication skills
