As a supply teacher, you'll have the exciting opportunity to work across various educational settings, stepping in to support classrooms when regular teachers are absent. Due to increasing demand, we are looking for primary teachers to work on a supply basis in a range of primary schools in Wigan.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience and teaching qualifications - PGCE, QTS (must be able to reference your recent work with 2 professional references)
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
  • Able to reference your recent teaching work
  • Commitment, flexibility and enthusiasm
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Being passionate about teaching and learning

Responsibilities :

  • Deliver a range of lessons to students in the absence of the usual teacher
  • Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills to maintain a productive learning environment for all the children and young people under your care
  • Support pupils wherever possible with completing their work
  • Liaise with other members of staff in regards to children's well being and development
