Your new companyHays have been approached by a local school in the Wigan area who are seeking to appoint a Year 6 teacher to start in February until Easter with a very strong potential to extend until Summer. The school are looking for an experienced teacher who can come in and hit the ground running with this class in order to prepare them for their SATs. You will be joining a supportive network of staff and will have an experienced TA on hand to help with the class. Hays have always received great feedback from staff we have placed here.Your new roleIn this job role you will be taking on full responsibilities as class teacher and this will include planning and delivering lessons with particular focus on Maths, English and Science, in order to help prepare students for their SATs. You will be required to mark work and track pupil progress, providing extra support where needed for pupils who may be struggling. This school is looking for a confident teacher who can come in and make a lasting impact on this class. NQTs/ECTs are also welcome to apply for this role.What you'll need to succeedThe successful applicant will be an experienced teacher with recent experience within primary education with good working knowledge of Year 6 or KS2 and delivery of SAT Prep will prove beneficial. Subject leadership is desired, but not essential for this role. Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
