Primary School Teaching Assistant 

Milk Education are working with a primary school in Worsley Mesnes (WN3) who are seeking a full-time Primary School Teaching Assistant to support in a KS1 class (am) and a KS2 Class (pm). This role is starting in as soon as possible and will be a temporary, long-term role.

The School are looking for someone who is patient, nurturing and possesses strong behaviour management for this Primary School Teaching Assistant position. The hours of work are 08:30am- 15:30pm, Monday to Friday.

This Primary School Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting the class teacher within their class to ensure all children are kept on task and that the work they are doing is being done to a good standard. You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and ensure all the children’s needs are being met. In this Primary School Teaching Assistant role you will provide a patient and nurturing learning environment for the child.

Primary School Teaching Assistant- Role & Responsibilities:

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
  • Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
  • Deliver catch-up sessions

Primary School Teaching Assistant Level- Non-negotiables:

  • Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
  • Must have a passion for education
  • Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
  • Must be reliable and punctual
