Teaching Assistant - Wigan:
Prospero teaching are looking for a teaching assistant to join one of our schools near to Wigan and support a year 6 class. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent psychology graduate who is looking to pursue a career in education.
The Role:
- Building rapport with students, parents and staff
- Communicating with the class teacher regarding the progress of the pupils
- Supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1-1 basis
- Preparing learning resources and activities
Position Details:
- Location: Wigan
- Position: Teaching Assistant
- Hours: 8am-3pm
- Type of Work: Temporary
- Full time/Part time: Full time
- Minimum Rate of Pay: £85 per day, depending on experience
- Start date: ASAP
- End date: Ongoing
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (desired but not essential)
- Experience supporting children within a school setting
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
