Design Manager required for a client based in Wigan, who work heavily within the packaging and waste management industries of engineering.
The design manager role will require you to co-ordinate and priortise the management of the regions design resources whilst ensuring that maximum added value is made to operational opportunities.
Design Manager Position Overview
* Supervision of a regional team of designers.* Recruitment, training and development of new staff.* Assessment and prioritisation of workload to ensure that all work is delivered in the agreed timescales.* Close liaison and communication with other departments, to ensure that the correct work is undertaken in the correct location.* Assisting in the on-going development of CAD and associated procedures.* Close liaison with key customers to ensure projects are delivered as required and that any problems areas are addressed quickly.
Design Manager Position Requirements
* Must have industry experience within packaging.* Good understanding of computerised design systems.* Detailed knowledge of all aspects of structural design.* Effective people management skills.* Commercial awareness and customer focus - both internal and external.* Based within a commutable distance of Wigan.* Role is an on-site position at their Wigan offices.* Full UK driving licence would be highly preferable.
Design Manager Position Remuneration
* Salary - £50,000 to £60,000 - dependent upon skill, experience and qualifications.* Monday to Friday - 40 hours a week - 9am to 5pm or 8am to 4pm (flexible).* Holiday package - 25 days plus 8 bank holidays.* Company pension scheme.* On-site parking.
