About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Utilities Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of utility projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to industry standards.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, manage, and review cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for utility projects.
  • Conduct cost analysis and provide accurate forecasting to support project planning.
  • Manage contract administration, including variations, claims, and final accounts.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Carry out risk assessments and provide commercial advice to the project team.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company procedures.
  • Assist in procurement, tendering, and subcontractor negotiations.
  • Monitor project progress, track costs, and report any discrepancies.
  • Support the resolution of disputes and financial claims.


Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the utilities sector (water, gas, electricity, or telecoms).
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred).
