About the Role:

An established and reputable construction and development company in the North West is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing costs, contracts, and financial performance across a portfolio of residential construction projects, ensuring that developments are delivered on time and within budget.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for residential construction projects.

  • Manage procurement processes, including negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Conduct financial reporting and cost control, ensuring alignment with company targets.

  • Monitor cash flow, variations, and valuations throughout project lifecycles.

  • Work closely with site teams, project managers, and senior stakeholders to ensure cost efficiency.

  • Use COINS software for cost management, reporting, and financial tracking.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry regulations.

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects.

  • Assist in preparing tender documentation and contract administration.



Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential construction or affordable housing projects.

  • Proficiency in COINS software for cost management and financial reporting.

  • Strong commercial acumen with a keen eye for detail.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
