Job Title: English Teacher
Location: WN5 7AL
Pay Rate:£200 per day
An experienced English Teacher is required for a long-term position at a secondary school in Orrell, Wigan. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a deep understanding of English literature and language.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver comprehensive English lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Inspire students to explore literary texts and develop critical thinking skills.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations, ensuring they achieve their academic potential.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4 in a UK secondary school.
- Strong subject knowledge with the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and student success.
