About Us:Cover People UK are seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a mainstream secondary school in Wigan. This full-time position is available from January 2025 on a long-term basis. The role offers the opportunity to inspire and educate students in a supportive school environment with a strong focus on academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, following the National Curriculum.
Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning needs.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to develop a love for mathematics and achieve their full potential.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall success of the Maths department.
Participate in school activities, including staff meetings, extracurricular activities, and parent consultations.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching Maths at secondary school level, with strong subject knowledge.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
A passion for mathematics and a commitment to helping students succeed academically.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
