About Us:Cover People UK are seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a mainstream secondary school in Wigan. This full-time position is available as soon as possible on a long-term basis. The role offers the opportunity to inspire and educate students in a supportive school environment with a strong focus on academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, following the National Curriculum.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to develop a love for Science and achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall success of the Maths department.
  • Participate in school activities, including staff meetings, extracurricular activities, and parent consultations.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary school level, with strong subject knowledge.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A passion for mathematics and a commitment to helping students succeed academically.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
