Field Services Engineer - Network - Hybrid 3 days a week onsite/ 2 days field based - £30,000 - £35,000
My network solutions client is experiencing sustained growth and the Field Services Engineer's role is to provide dedicated installation and configuration support to the Company's clients in the UK. This opportunity will be to work Hybrid 3 days a week onsite in Wigan/ 2 days field based - Company Vehicle is provided for field base days.
As a Field Services Engineer, you will work closely with the Field Services, NOC and Provisioning teams to ensure that the installation of our services is implemented smoothly and are configured and maintained correctly so that through their lifecycle they operate in a robust and effective way for the client. Installation and configuration of network equipment on client's business premises, to include network cabinets, structured cable runs, cable termination, local patching, network switches, Wi-Fi Access Points, Network Routers, SD WAN.
Prepare, stage, and test network equipment to ensure it meets specified performance and quality standards before installation or shipment.
Skills & Experience
- Previous Field service experience
- Network Installation experience (minimum 3 years)
- Strong understanding of cabling, cabinets, WIFI, Network Security, SD Wan
- Strong general networking/IP knowledge
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate a practical approach when faced with problems or challenges.
- Must be committed and willing to learn.
- Ideally hold CCNA certification
- Must hold a Full & clean UK driving Licence
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the business.
- Enthusiastic and Self-Motivated
