Outreach Worker - Wigan:

Prospero Teaching are recruiting for an Outreach Worker in a lively and supportive SEN school near Wigan. You will be required to support SEMH students in the school and in the community.

Responsibilites:

  • Taking attendance in the mornings
  • Liasing with parents regarding absences
  • Confident in liasing with social services and other parties to best support the individual
  • Confident in behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies
  • Referring to education and health care plans (EHCP)

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues
  • Team Teach qualification would be highly desirable
  • Must be able to drive as this is a driving role

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
