Youth Worker / Support Worker

Empowering Learning are working closely with a challenging school in Wigan, supporting children and young people who struggle with their social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH). The ideal candidate should be hands on and confident supporting the most vulnerable children in society with behavioural challenges, social, and emotional needs.

Your Role

As a Behavioural Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable children in their academic and personal development. Your responsibilities will include

-Encouraging young people with their proactive learning

- Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to create tailored learning plans.

- Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements

- Experience working with special needs children or SEMH is preferred but not essential.

- Passion for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
