Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Wigan Council's Child Protection Team as an IRO/CP Chair. This is a full time role, offering an amazing pay rate of £40 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Chair child protection conferences, children in care reviews and pathway plan reviews for care-experienced young people aged 18-25.
  • Understand the legislation for Children in Need; Children subject to child protection plans; Pathway plans and children Looked After.
  • Prepare, produce, implement, and evaluate plans with individual Children, families, carers, and professional colleagues.
  • Support children and young people to participate in their meetings and engage the family in decision making.

Requirements:

  • Social Work Degree or equivalent
  • Current registration with Social Work England
  • Enhanced DBS
