SEN Support Assistant

Milk Education are working with a primary school in Hindley Green who are seeking a full-time SEN Support Assistant to work 1-2-1 with a child in Year 4 who possess challenging behaviour. This role is starting in as soon as possible and will be a temporary, long-term role.

The School are looking for someone who is patient, nurturing and accommodating to the child’s learning needs for this position. The hours of work are 08:30am- 15:30, Monsay- Friday. This role involves keeping the child on task and ensuring that the work they doing is being done to a good standard. You will be responsible for getting resources ready and ensure the child’s needs are being met. In this role you will provide a patient and nurturing learning environment for the child.

SEN Support - Role & Responsibilities:

· Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children

· Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs

· Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate

· Deliver catch-up sessions

SEN Support- Non-negotiables:

· Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years

· Must have a passion for education

· Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills

· Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher

· Must be reliable and punctual
