SEN Teaching Assistant- Wigan

We are currently recruiting Special Needs Assistants to provide support in primary education settings across Wigan. The role offers an hourly rate of £13 to £14 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. You will be matched with a suitable placement based on your expertise, ensuring a fulfilling and impactful role.

• Prepare resources and activities for one-to-one and small group support.

• Work closely with classroom teachers and SENCOs to organise tailored interventions.

• Provide targeted support to children with additional needs.

• Monitor and track student progress, offering guidance to improve confidence and development.

• Collaborate with teachers, specialist support staff, and other professionals.

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Experience working with young people in an educational or SEN setting.

• Ability to manage challenging behaviours with confidence and patience.

• Strong communication skills to build relationships with children, staff, and parents.

• Adaptability, creativity, and a proactive approach to supporting learning.

• Understanding of SEN and learning difficulties.

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
