The Role:As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide personalised support for students with special needs, ensuring they receive the assistance they need to thrive in their education. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the implementation of personalised learning plans for SEN students
  • Offering 1:1 and small group support for children with additional needs
  • Helping create a nurturing, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting classroom activities and adapting resources to meet students' needs
  • Encouraging social, emotional, and academic development
  • Collaborating with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other professionals to deliver targeted interventions

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, especially those with SEN, is highly desirable
  • Patience, compassion, and a positive approach to supporting children's learning
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for working in education and helping children succeed
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
