Engineering Technician
Ashton-in-Makerfield, Lancashire.
30,000 - 35,000 + 7.5% annual bonus + benefits

One of the UK's leading temporary works specialists with 6 offices are on the lookout for an Engineering Technician with at least 1 year of experience in a similar position to join the team in Ashton-in-Makerfield, near Wigan in a permanent capacity.


The main purpose of this role is to produce drawings to effectively communicate temporary works designs produced by the engineering team. This role offers flexible home-working, including 3 days per week in the office in Ashton-in-Makerfieldand 2 from home.

Key Responsibilities of an Engineering Technician:

  • Be proficient in the efficient use of AutoCAD and REVIT to produce high quality drawings.
  • Develop an understanding of Mabey Hire's equipment and how the components fit together.
  • Produce general arrangement and detail drawing to communicate the temporary works designs produced by the engineers.
  • Produce accurate kit lists to allow enquiries to be quoted.
  • Produce fabrication drawings for special parts when required.
  • Effectively manage own workload within Launchpad to ensure deadlines are met, including maintaining accurate timesheets.
  • Undertake basic calculations to support the production of drawings.
  • Take responsibility for driving own leaning and development. Set individual goals utilising the Always Aiming Higher (AAH) framework and work towards them.
