A long-standing design & build engineering production business specialising in the manufacture of materials handling equipment is looking for a MIG Welder in Wigan. You will be joining a highly professional and well managed environment, offering a salary of £13.50 per hour, guaranteed work with optional overtime (1.5x basic rate) and no shift cancellations. About the MIG Welder role:
  • Production welding with MIG welding guns
  • No fabrication involved in this role, production MIG welding throughout shift
  • MIG welding to mild and stainless steel only from jigs
  • Welding items of various sizes where depending on the size of the product, KPI’s could be anywhere from 15 a day up to 60 a day
  • Ensuring the products created are structurally sound and safe for client use.
We’re looking for a MIG Welder with:
  • Proven ability to work in physically a demanding environment
  • Experience working with MIG welding guns
  • Experience welding to mild or stainless steel
  • Ability to work from engineers’ drawings
  • Ability to pass MIG welding test
