Nursery Practitioner – Tamworth
Start Date: Immediate start

The Nursery provides exceptional facilities, a nurturing community, and a team of dedicated educators who are passionate about fostering the growth and development of young children. They are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join their team in September.

Role Overview:
As a Practitioner at this nursery, you will be responsible for creating engaging and developmentally appropriate activities for young children, helping to lay the foundation for their future learning. Being a Practitioner at this Nursery,  you will work closely with fellow educators, support staff, and parents to ensure each child’s individual needs are met. Your role will include planning and preparing activities, monitoring child development, and contributing to the overall nursery environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-quality activities that cater to the needs of all children.
  • Create a warm and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and development.
  • Employ a variety of teaching techniques to engage children and support different developmental stages.
  • Observe and assess child progress, providing regular feedback to parents and guardians.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative approaches.
  • Participate in nursery events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Provide support to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) or an NVQ Level 2 or higher is essential.
  • Experience working in early years settings is required.
  • Proven ability to manage a nursery environment effectively and maintain a positive atmosphere.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, parents, and staff.
  • Experience working with SEND children is advantageous but not essential.
