Cost Accountant - Part-Qualified
This team is part of the Central Cost and Entity Accounting team. The Central Cost Accounting team plays an important role within the company providing accurate monthly P&L and Balance Sheet postings as well as Quarterly, Half Year and Full Year accounts.
responsibilities of the role
- provide centralised Cost Accounting service/support to the team
- Credits and Debits
- Recharging costs on a timely basis and raising invoices where applicable for any ICO balances to be settled within 30 days to ensure compliance with ring-fencing rules
- Monitoring intercompany accounts, and raising invoices as required, liaising with entity accountants to verify intercompany recharges
- Maintaining up to date process documentation for all processes, highlighting any EUC/Audit implications and SLAs where appropriate
- Project involvement such as SAP S4HANA / OneLedger, including UAT and other ad-hoc project related requests
- Supporting the team with ad-hoc requests and queries
- Month end reports
Knowledge required
- Part- qualified/qualified Accountant, with desire to continue with qualification.
- Strong accounting knowledge with previous experience in an accounting role working with recharges and reconciling accounts
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g Using Pivot tables, VLOOKUPS etc.)
