Position: MicrobiologistLocation: Wigston, LeicesterSalary: CompetitiveJob Purpose:Inizio Engage are delighted to be recruiting for a microbiologist on behalf of our client. Your key responsibility will be to carry out approved tests and monitoring procedures used to assess the microbiological quality of pharmaceutical materials (unlicensed medicines, investigational medicinal products, licensed products) and production facilities.Main Duties include but not limited to:• Testing of raw material, in process and finished products (unlicensed medicines, investigational medicinal products, licenced products) to meet agreed schedule. • Perform all laboratory activities safely, in accordance with GMP, and to agreed timelines.• Perform microbiological and physical monitoring of production facilities and equipment.• Read agar plates and broths, record and report microbiological results.• Prepare, select and control the storage of microbiological culture media.• Monitor and record the temperatures maintained within the microbiology refrigeration and incubation facilities.• Keep the microbiology laboratory and associated consumables and equipment clean and tidy to avoid any biohazard or cross-contamination issues.Key Skills & Knowledge• Laboratory experience in a pharmaceutical environment• Knowledge of microbiological techniques• Good communications skills, written and oral• Ability to organise work and meet agreed deadlines• Attention to detailPlease note if you have not heard from a member of the resourcing department within 7 days your application has been unsuccessful at this stage.Thank you for your interest in Inizio Engage.
