For over 139 years, they have supported young people and adults who are at risk of homelessness, offering supported accommodation and various services to help individuals build better futures. They strive to create supportive, inspiring places where young people and communities can thrive. They provide the very best service, and they would love your help to continue that process.

Overview of the Role
As a Team Leader, you will lead the provision of support to young people, ensuring they have the tools and guidance needed to build a positive future. You will have a caseload of young people, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to address personal, social, health, learning, and employment needs as outlined in their support plans.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and provide a housing-related support service for young people to enable them to build positive futures.

Hold a support caseload, helping young people identify and meet personal, social, health, learning, and employment goals within an average 6-month timeframe.

Conduct weekly Health & Safety Room Checks for accommodation.

Proactively manage and lead a team of support workers, ensuring policies and contractual expectations are met.

Develop strategies to manage challenging behaviour professionally and support the team in their approach.

Advise the team on the principles of relevant legislative frameworks.

About YOU:
To succeed in this role, you will possess:

A recognised formal qualification in Social Work, Youth & Community Development, Housing, Criminology, or relevant Social Science to degree level or equivalent.

Proven experience at a comparable senior level.

Clear understanding of the needs of homeless people and experience working with disengaged young adults with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

Experience of working with multi-agency partners at delivery level.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, young adults, and external partners.

Strong communication skills (both written and oral), with a high level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
