Our client: Our client is seeking Assembly Operatives to join their team in the Wigston area. As an Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for working within a manufacturing environment, using hand and power tools, following written and verbal assembly instructions to build and assemble large components.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assembling components and products according to production guidelines (written and verbal)
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Inspect finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Help with boxing and packaging products ready for shipping
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organised work area
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is essential
  • Competent in the use of hand and power tools is essential (electric drills, screwdrivers, hammers etc)
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols

Day-to-day:

  • Prepare work areas by setting up equipment and tools
  • Assemble components and inspect finished products
  • Heavy lifting
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members to meet production goals
  • Be reliable and punctual
