Our client: Our client is seeking Assembly Operatives to join their team in the Wigston area. As an Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for working within a manufacturing environment, using hand and power tools, following written and verbal assembly instructions to build and assemble large components.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assembling components and products according to production guidelines (written and verbal)
- Use hand and power tools
- Inspect finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Help with boxing and packaging products ready for shipping
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organised work area
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets
Experience:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is essential
- Competent in the use of hand and power tools is essential (electric drills, screwdrivers, hammers etc)
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols
Day-to-day:
- Prepare work areas by setting up equipment and tools
- Assemble components and inspect finished products
- Heavy lifting
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment
- Communicate and collaborate with team members to meet production goals
- Be reliable and punctual
