A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer at a Leicester based food manufacturing company.

The role is to ensure plant and equipment downtime is kept to a minimum and building up-keep is maximised through efficient response times, continuous improvements, data acquisition and analysis, whilst maintaining and developing a positive attitude towards costs, quality and health and safety.

Role responsibilities:
Electrical and mechanical diagnostic/fault finding techniques and the application of remedial work in a breakdown situation.
Electrical/mechanical competences are required. Welding, basic machining, and fabrication skills are useful to enable the engineer to carry out various 'general maintenance' tasks within the engineering field.
Root cause analysis carried out on-line performance and stoppages.
Production line monitoring.
H&S checks and equipment compliant, in place and working.
Recording tasks and store withdrawals, complying with all company quality system requirements and raising non-conformities where necessary.
Preparation, tidiness and cleanliness of work areas and stores are maintained.
Follow a 'clean as you go' policy - keeping the work area tidy at all times and ensure that this is respected/followed by other members of the team.
Ensure all company procedures are followed and implemented.

General Craft skills.
Even tempered and consistent.
Electrical & Mechanical skills to C&G level/NVQ equivalent.
Sound common sense and responsible attitude.
Honesty, integrity, motivation and reliability.
Can-do attitude.
Alertness and sense of urgency.
Solid mechanical and electrical experience.

This is a permanent role, salary £50,000 plus £1k bonus plus company benefits, working 4 on 4 off shifts (days and nights).

The shift pattern is 06:00 to 18:00 & 18:00 to 06:00, rotating weekly.
