The Production Engineer willworkonavarietyofprojectswithintheProductionEngineering Departmentandtheopportunitywillbegiventointeractbetweenalldepartmentswithinthe facility-givingabroadappreciationofallaspectsofthebusiness.
ThesuccessfulcandidatewillbesomeonewhoisactivelyinterestedinEngineering,specifically in theAerospaceandIndustrialGasTurbinesectors.Thenewmemberoftheteamwillbe inquisitiveandhaveexperienceinahandsonenvironment.Theywillbeabletoexplainhowtheir engineeringknowledgehasbeenpracticallyapplied.
Thejobinvolvesarangeofresponsibilities,whichincluded:
- Interpretcomplexcustomerdrawings(includingdatumalignmentInfluence)inorderto produce accurate work instructions.
- Implement/developbestpracticemachiningandgaugingprocessesthatmeetthe requirementsofthedrawing,specifications,andmeetprocessquality,cost&leadtime.
- Providetechnicalsupporttotheshopfloorfornewproductintroduction&existingprocessimprovements.
- Create/updatebestpracticeCNCprogramsforalldifferenttypesofmachinetools (Grinding, EDM, Milling, Laser etc.)
- Useleantoolsandtechniquestoremovewastefromthemanufacturingsystem.
- Create/updatecustomerbrochure/approvalpackagestoincludeFAIRSs,FPAs,PPQs, PLQs, FPRs, MCRs, DARs etc.
- Beeffectiveincommunicatingwithalloftheworkforce,thesupplierandthecustomer.To bepersuasive,confident,factualandhavetheabilitytomakefactbaseddecisions.
- Adegreeinrelevantengineeringdiscipline,preferablyinMechanicalEngineering,orequivalent experience/qualification
- Industry work experience which could be gained during education
- Knowledgeofaerospacemanufacturing,conventionalandspecialprocessmachiningconcepts.
- Strongproficiencyinusingvariousproblem-solvingmethodologies.
- Abilitytounderstandandinterpretcomplexengineeringdrawingsandgeometries Abilitytoleadchangeandchampionideas
- Excellentcommunicationandabilitytoinfluenceothers
- Verykeeninterestinprecisionengineeringandmanufacturing Abilitytoprioritizemultipleprojectswithinchallengingtimeframes
- KnowledgeorexperienceofLeanmanufacturingprinciplesandhowthesecanbe applied to a workplace setting
