The Production Engineer willworkonavarietyofprojectswithintheProductionEngineering Departmentandtheopportunitywillbegiventointeractbetweenalldepartmentswithinthe facility-givingabroadappreciationofallaspectsofthebusiness.

ThesuccessfulcandidatewillbesomeonewhoisactivelyinterestedinEngineering,specifically in theAerospaceandIndustrialGasTurbinesectors.Thenewmemberoftheteamwillbe inquisitiveandhaveexperienceinahandsonenvironment.Theywillbeabletoexplainhowtheir engineeringknowledgehasbeenpracticallyapplied.

Thejobinvolvesarangeofresponsibilities,whichincluded:

  • Interpretcomplexcustomerdrawings(includingdatumalignmentInfluence)inorderto produce accurate work instructions.
  • Implement/developbestpracticemachiningandgaugingprocessesthatmeetthe requirementsofthedrawing,specifications,andmeetprocessquality,cost&leadtime.
  • Providetechnicalsupporttotheshopfloorfornewproductintroduction&existingprocessimprovements.
  • Create/updatebestpracticeCNCprogramsforalldifferenttypesofmachinetools (Grinding, EDM, Milling, Laser etc.)
  • Useleantoolsandtechniquestoremovewastefromthemanufacturingsystem.
  • Create/updatecustomerbrochure/approvalpackagestoincludeFAIRSs,FPAs,PPQs, PLQs, FPRs, MCRs, DARs etc.
  • Beeffectiveincommunicatingwithalloftheworkforce,thesupplierandthecustomer.To bepersuasive,confident,factualandhavetheabilitytomakefactbaseddecisions.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Adegreeinrelevantengineeringdiscipline,preferablyinMechanicalEngineering,orequivalent experience/qualification
  • Industry work experience which could be gained during education
  • Knowledgeofaerospacemanufacturing,conventionalandspecialprocessmachiningconcepts.
  • Strongproficiencyinusingvariousproblem-solvingmethodologies.
  • Abilitytounderstandandinterpretcomplexengineeringdrawingsandgeometries Abilitytoleadchangeandchampionideas
  • Excellentcommunicationandabilitytoinfluenceothers
  • Verykeeninterestinprecisionengineeringandmanufacturing Abilitytoprioritizemultipleprojectswithinchallengingtimeframes
  • KnowledgeorexperienceofLeanmanufacturingprinciplesandhowthesecanbe applied to a workplace setting
