We are looking for a Graduate production engineer who has the basics to take a project from conception to final product, and refine the production process always looking for ways to improve.
This role is within a busy high end precision engineering company that prides it's self on going above and beyond delivering a top quality product and ensuring a pleasant environment for people to work in.
What you will be doing
- Receive customer drawings to produce thorough production instructions.
- Ensuring that production processes are refined to meet customer specs, costs & lead times.
- Creating and improving programmes for CNC machines (milling, EDM grinding & lasers)
- Provide on hand technical support to the shop floor for new and existing machining processes.
- Utilise LEAN tools to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Assist in creating & updated customer/approval documents to include FAIR's, FPA's, PPQ's, etc.
What's needed for this role?
- A mechanical engineering degree
- Experience within a precision manufacturing environment is a huge benefit.
- CNC programming knowledge and/or experience
- Ability to read intricate engineering drawings and geometries.
- A genuine interest in precision engineering
- Knowledge or a genuine interest in the aerospace manufacturing sector
