Purchasing Assistant - 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: £23,000
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

The professional services department at SF Recruitment is seeking a skilled Purchasing Assistant to join a well-established manufacturing business on a 12-month fixed term contract. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will provide support to the Purchasing Department, reporting to the Senior Buyer. You will be responsible for managing supplier communications and ensuring that all goods are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collate and update purchase orders
  • Follow up on outstanding orders and manage supplier acknowledgments
  • Provide administrative support for pricing, vendor management, and filing

Requirements:

  • Highly organised, flexible, and able to work well in a team
  • Prior experience in procurement or administration is a plus (training provided)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Dynamics 365 Business Central
