A leading construction and civil engineering contractor are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager to join their family-owned business and play a key role in developing and overseeing a commercial team to deliver a wide range of newly secured projects valued between £45m to £60m.

As the Commercial Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of projects. Key duties will include:

  • Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and management of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor project budgets, track costs, and ensure that projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Handle claims for variations, extensions of time, and disputes.
  • Track the progress of the project, including financial performance, schedule adherence, and quality standards.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth communication and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Ensure projects adhere to legal, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee a commercial team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while mitigating risks.
