MacArthur Recruitment is recruiting for a successful manufacturing company for this position of Customer Service Adviser. In this role you will be working with customers and some outside service providers (couriers, retailers, etc.) to enable a successful customer experience answering queries and proactively helping customers. On occasion customers will visit you in the office so it can be a client facing role and therefore the dress code is formal / smart casual and presentable.

This role requires someone who enjoys helping people and talking to people on the phone. Its not a sales role; your role is to assist customers with their questions and purchases.

Useful / ideal experience for the role of Customer Service Adviser :

  • Experienced working in a similar, customer facing role via phone, email, etc. ideally
  • Used to making out-going phone calls in response to queries, orders and similar
  • Able to advise, after youve been trained, on the product portfolio
  • Assisting customers with answers to their questions
  • Organised with good attention to detail
  • IT literate - comfortable working with computers and in-house systems (training provided)
  • MS Office
  • General administration
  • Great communication skills

Key responsibilities for the role of Customer Service Adviser :

  • Prioritise and accurately input and schedule orders / replacements, spare parts and point of sale, which are received via telephone, e-mail, and post, in line with the customer service procedures manual
  • Answer enquires from all internal and external customers via telephone, e-mail, letter and fax and post
  • Advise and confirm customer deliveries through our booking in procedure
  • Control, investigate and action credits / overcharges relating to designated area
  • Provide aftersales support
  • Working with internal and external departments and stakeholders
