We are seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager for a permanent, full-time position. The working hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. This is a hybrid role.

Purpose of the role

As a member of the Regional Management Team you will be responsible for developing and deploying strategies across the EMEA region. You will provide strong leadership and expertise to deliver security (both physical and product), risk management, and compliance frameworks that meet stakeholder expectations.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Organisational Strategy - proactively contribute to the development & deployment of the strategy for the EMEA region.
  • Organisational strategy - lead the delivery of the functional plan to achieve the organisations vision.
  • Ensure the region operates in accordance with all KPIs.
  • Manage the budget across all areas of responsibility.
  • Closely collaborate and partner with all functions adhering to policies and frameworks including: Planning, Quality, Finance, HR, OHS&E, Supply Chain, IT, Commercial and Production.
  • Commercial - support the commercial function with business development activity across the EMEA region.
  • Provide leadership and direction across the site for the continuous improvement of risk management, auditing, physical security and product security activities. In doing so, keep abreast of emerging risks and impacts to those functions through working relationships with key personnel across the business.
  • Physical Security - Ensure physical security measures are defined with a site security plan and implemented through a security zone approach. The measures are to include deterrence, detection, delay, response and recovery.
  • Manage and deliver integrated Security Risk initiatives and projects deriving from the organisational strategy.
  • Facilitate risk management workshops and/or conduct risk assessment studies, when required, to identify and assess key/emerging business risks and evaluate existing controls. Propose future risk treatment plans to further mitigate risks, where appropriate. Preparing risk management reports.
  • Provide reports to the General Manager concerning the adequacy and effectiveness of control and governance arrangements aligned to the regional reporting obligations.
  • Ensure a collaborative approach with IT Security and lead compliance with approved regional document security practices.
  • Manage the personnel security clearance process for all employee's, contractors, MDR and service providers.
  • Ensure appropriate governance and compliance arrangements are operating to meet local statutory obligations and expectations.
  • Lead in the preparation of quarterly Governance Risk Oversight Meeting (GROM) reports to the RMT. Undertaking the role of secretary to the GROM.
  • Review existing and develop new policy and frameworks for EMEA to continuously improve and manage all risk and control matters for the Company. Key policy and framework areas of responsibility include (but not limited to):
  • Risk & Compliance Management and Risk Assurance
  • Document classification
  • Physical Security & Logistics Security
  • Security protocols for travelling staff
  • Product Security & Reconciliation
  • Jurisdiction classification
  • Sanctions & Reputational screening
  • Ongoing compliance obligations;
  • Global Business Ethics Guide;
  • Secure Global Business Ethics Guide
  • Responsible for the monitoring and compliance with the regional governance framework.
  • Develop & deliver training and cultural change programs to drive the desired levels of risk, control and ethical standards.
  • Lead the preparation of relevant accreditations and audits
  • Deliver risk and control initiatives and actions aligned to the Company's risk appetite, values and overall strategic objectives.
  • Regularly report to all internal and external stakeholders on key risk and control metrics and resultant actions.
  • Monitor national / international anti-trust & competition law and ensure the company's policies and controls (including ABC guidance & training material) are compliant with the legal requirements.
  • Analyse in-country activity reports to ensure compliance with local lobbying law, including registration & disclosure requirements in the country which lobbying activity is taking place.

People management

  • Ensure direct reports have clarity on key operational targets.
