Control System Engineer Cumbria In-house/End-User Permanent £50-55k + 9% matched pension + private health insurance + discounted gym membership

Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced Control System Engineer to work for a Cumbrian based specialist machine manufacturing company. One of the main aspects of the Control System Engineer role is PLC programming and fault-finding on existing PLC code this is an essential requirement.

Key aspects of the Control System Engineer role include

  • Support the engineering team with PLC & control system fault findingSystem/PLC faults are rectified and route cause identified
  • Responsibility for site electrical drawings and schematics
  • Support the engineering team in delivering Continuous Improvement projects and process improvements
  • Assess risks in relation to control systems e.g. PLCs and necessary contingencies for failure or upgrade.
  • Creation of new PLC programs and software updates when required
  • Successful Control System Engineer will support the maintenance team in maintaining the plant and equipment to agreed standards
  • COMPEX knowledge desirable, not essential, training will be arranged if needed
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics - desirable, not essential, training will be arranged if needed
  • 25 days holidays (includes 4 days to be taken at Christmas) + 8 Bank Holidays

The company is commutable from places in Cumbria such as Carlisle, Penrith, Keswick and Maryport.
