Job Title: Delivery Driver
Location: Willenhall
Salary: £13-£14 per hour
Hours: 45 hours per week - 6am to 3.30pm (start times can vary)
Job Description:
As a delivery driver you will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations. Your key duties will include:
- Delivery Duties:
- Overseeing the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises
- Ensuring proof of delivery documents are signed, dated & returned.
- Checking the load & weight distribution according to the latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift
- Ensuring vehicles are in a safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use & are operated in a safe manner.
- Adhering to exacting health & safety standards at all times
- Any additional ad hoc duties that may be required
Requirements:
- Experience & knowledge of steel handling is highly desirable along with knowledge of making multi drop deliveries - although full training will be offered to the right candidate
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence (with no more than 6 points)
- Own a Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card with knowledge of working time directive
- Good attention to detail and customer service skills.
