Job SummaryAs a CNC Haas Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines with Fanuc controls. You will work from engineering drawings to produce one-offs and small batch sizes, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Program, set up, and operate CNC Haas milling machines with Fanuc controls.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Set up workpieces, fixtures, and tooling to ensure accurate machining.
- Monitor the machining process and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality.
- Utilize various measuring equipment ( Verniers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiencies.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator, specifically with Haas machines and Fanuc controls.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, practices, and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings in both metric and imperial units.
- Proficiency with measuring instruments and inspection tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Technical certificate or diploma in CNC machining or related field.
- Experience working in a precision machine shop environment.
