JRS Associates have partnered with a dynamic aerospace and precision machining company to find a skilled CNC Miller - Setter, Operator to join their production team.   • Hourly Rate: £13.37 (DOE)
  • Working Hours: Dayshift – 08:00am – 17:00pm (Mon-Thu), 08:00am – 13:00pm (Fri)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture components to customer and drawing specifications.
  • Maximise stock utilisation and minimise waste by following cutting patterns and operational guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including computer-based stock control systems.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure full conformance to order requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to promote safe working practices and maintain a clean, tidy work environment.
  • Support continuous improvement processes to enhance efficiency and minimise waste.
  • Train and mentor other operatives as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in CNC milling machine setup and operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret cutting patterns and engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with material handling and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Self-motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented.
  • Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
  • (Desirable) Experience with machine maintenance and current counterbalance mechanical handling license.
