Role Description

As a CNC Milling Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for safely and accurately performing milling operations using 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines. Your attention to detail and mechanical aptitude will be essential in producing high-quality parts in a precision engineering environment.

Primary Job Function

Utilize your expertise in the development, manufacture, testing, and support of the companys projects, ensuring that customer timelines are consistently met with efficiency and quality.

Key Skills
  • Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator
  • Proficient in operating CNC machinery and tooling, as well as precision measurement tools
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and engineering drawings
  • Computer literate with the capability to edit and adjust CNC programs
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and good mathematical skills
  • Detail-oriented with a results-driven approach
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small team
  • Experience with HAAS CNC machines is advantageous
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and operate CNC machines for tasks such as drilling and milling
  • Understand specifications and desired outcomes by interpreting engineering and mechanical drawings
  • Conduct test runs to validate new and existing CNC programs
  • Supervise machines during operations, making necessary adjustments to enhance outcomes
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Perform daily checks and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal functionality
Experience Requirements
  • Preferably 5+ years of experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment
Education/Qualifications
  • Computer literate
  • City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent in a relevant field
