Customer Service Representative - Tata Steel, Wednesfield

Are you a dedicated and experienced Customer Service Representative looking to join a dynamic team? We have a 12-month fixed-term role available with Tata Steel in Wednesfield. This position offers a competitive starting salary of £23,000, with the potential for higher pay based on experience.

Role:Customer Service Representative

Location:Wednesfield, with on-site parking and local bus routes available.

Salary:Starting from £23,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Contract Length:12 months

Shift Patterns:37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with hybrid working on Mondays and Fridays. Office hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with an early finish on Fridays at 2:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between Tata Steel and customers, managing daily servicing requirements.
  • Process customer orders, confirm delivery plans, manage complaints, and coordinate with internal teams.
  • Ensure full adherence to Tata Steel's customer satisfaction processes, including proactive customer feedback collection.
  • Support customer satisfaction goals by providing timely updates and maintaining high levels of communication.
  • Coordinate with Planning and Transport teams to meet delivery commitments and resolve service issues as they arise.
  • Conduct customer satisfaction calls and support account managers on client visits.

Essential Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills with experience in customer-facing roles.
  • IT literacy and comfort with phone and email communication.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment and manage multiple accounts effectively.
  • Previous experience in customer service or account management roles.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience with order management systems (training provided).
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and internal teams.
