Job Title: TutorPay Rate: £26.62 per hour (+ P & P)Location: WillenhallHours: Flexible (full-time or part-time)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Tutor to support a young person with an EHCP and severe learning difficulties. The role focuses on working towards the ASDAN Transition Challenge, as the student is not working at national curriculum level. If you have a passion for working with students who have complex learning needs, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions tailored to the unique learning needs of the student.
- Develop individualised lesson plans and teaching materials in alignment with the ASDAN Transition Challenge.
- Assess and monitor the student's progress, adjusting teaching methods to suit their learning style.
- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages motivation and achievement.
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians, providing regular feedback on progress.
- Keep accurate records of all tutoring sessions and the student's development.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Experience working with students who have severe learning difficulties or additional needs, particularly those with an EHCP, is highly desirable.
- Experience with the ASDAN Transition Challenge or similar programs is a plus.
- Excellent communication, patience, and empathy.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of the student.
- Strong commitment to promoting the student’s academic and personal growth.
Working Hours: The working hours are flexible to accommodate your schedule. Whether you are seeking full-time or part-time work, we can tailor the hours to suit your availability. Planning time will be provided, with 1 to 2 hours per student depending on the length of tutoring sessions.
