REED are pleased to be working alongside a national construction company to recruit a dedicated Vehicle and Health & Safety Administrator to manage their fleet and support our health and safety operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of their vehicle management and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
Day-to-day of the role:Vehicle Management:
- Assist in managing a fleet of 18-20 vehicles, including flatbeds and commercial trucks.
- Maintain a log of driving licence checks and ensure all drivers are compliant with legal standards.
- Conduct regular vehicle checks and ensure compliance with MOT and DVLA regulations.
- Create and update spreadsheets to track vehicle in/out status, monitor and record accidents.
- Schedule and book vehicle services and repairs, ensuring all vehicles are in top condition.
Health and Safety:
- Support the 9001 and 14001 audit processes by performing administrative tasks and delving into processes to ensure audit readiness.
- Prepare documentation and reports for audit purposes, ensuring all data is accurate and comprehensive.
- Coordinate with operations staff to ensure availability and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assist with tasks related to ensuring that all aspects of health and safety are covered and compliant with regulations.
- Proven experience in vehicle management and health & safety administration.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for creating and managing spreadsheets.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments.
- Knowledge of 9001 and 14001 standards is highly advantageous.
