Role summary:

As a Same Day Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in providing outstanding customer service. This desk-based role involves managing customer inquiries, bookings, and liaising with third party providers to offer our customers a fast paced, highly professional delivery experience and service.

Key responsibilities:

  • Represent DX in a professional manner at all times
  • Follow all aspects of DX Manual Handling, Safe Working and Health and Safety policies
  • Taking customer bookings in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Assigning both in house and third-party couriers jobs.
  • Communicating with customers and third party providers to ensure a smooth and successful delivery from start to finish.
  • Obtaining PODs from third party couriers to ensure we have valid evidence of delivery completions.
  • To ensure we are using validated and approved couriers to carry out all deliveries.
  • Communicating with the customer. Ensuring an empathetic and professional approach at all times.
  • Daily reporting of KPIs, figures and costs.
  • Finding the most cost-effective solutions to completing the work required whilst maintain high DX service standards.
  • Pro-active approach to duties, maintain a high level of customer contact and monitoring of movements / deliveries.
  • Observe DX procedures and policies at all times

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Strong communications skills
  • referable previous experience working in traffic, warehousing or logistics
  • IT literate with high competence in all Microsoft office applications, working from multiple screens.
  • Ability to work well in a high pressure, fast paced environment.
