The Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a client for a Web and eCommerce Manager to oversee and optimise digital platforms across both wholesale and retail sectors. This role focuses on managing website functionality, search engine marketing (SEM), and digital home delivery solutions to enhance customer engagement and drive sales. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping digital strategy, improving user experience, and working collaboratively across teams to ensure best-in-class digital performance.
Job Title: Web and eCommerce Manager
Location: Willenhall, Walsall
Salary: 40,000 - 50,000 (DOE) + bonus
Start date: ASAP
Contract: Permanent, full time, hybrid in office 50% of time
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise B2B and B2C digital platforms, ensuring they align with business objectives and customer needs.
- Oversee website performance, user experience, and content accuracy to maximise engagement and conversions.
- Lead SEO and PPC strategies to improve search rankings, drive organic traffic, and enhance lead generation.
- Monitor and analyse digital performance metrics, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Drive the digital home delivery strategy, optimising the customer journey from order placement to delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure website security, functionality, and scalability.
- Support eCommerce initiatives by ensuring products and services are effectively showcased on digital platforms.
- Work closely with marketing teams to develop and execute digital campaigns that align with business objectives.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and digital best practices.
- Engage with sector managers to tailor digital solutions that meet the specific needs of wholesale and retail customers.
Candidate Criteria
- Proven experience in web management, SEM, and digital marketing, ideally within wholesale, retail, or eCommerce industries.
- Strong technical knowledge of website platforms, CMS systems, and SEM tools.
- Experience in optimising B2B platforms for different industry sectors.
- Familiarity with digital solutions related to home delivery or third-party logistics (3PL) is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative problem solver with a customer-focused mindset.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic web development principles is beneficial.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong communication and organisational skills with a proactive approach to digital strategy development.
