Payroll Officer [Temporary to Permanent, you must be available on short notice to be considered for this role]Location: WillenhallSalary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, office basedSF Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and supportive work environment. Key Responsibilities As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing end-to-end payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Managing payroll queries from staff and resolving them promptly
  • Calculating statutory payments, including SSP, SMP, and SPP
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations, including RTI submissions
  • Processing new starters, leavers, and contractual changes
  • Managing pension contributions and liaising with providers
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records and employee data
  • Assisting with year-end payroll processes, including P60s and P11Ds

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in payroll processing, ideally in a high-volume environment
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Proficiency in ADP, Desirable not Essential
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
