Role Overview

We are looking to recruit a Junior Electronics Engineer to support the continuing growth of our clients design department. A Junior Electronics Engineer supports the design, test and implementation of hardware and embedded software to extend the company product range. The role will involve working as part of the engineering and wider project teams to ensure products meet the requirements of the customer and product standards.


Junior Electronics Engineer Candidate Requirements and Experience

  • The Junior Electronics Engineer will hold a degree or similar qualification in Electronics Engineering or comparable subject.
  • Experience in electronics hardware design, development, and testing; including PCB schematic design and layout. This includes experience gained whilst at university or similar.
  • Experience in embedded firmware design, development, and testing. This includes experience gained whilst at university or similar.
  • Experience in the use of laboratory equipment such as, oscilloscopes, digital multi meters, bench power supplies.
  • Understanding of the following would be fantastic - new product development, EMC design and test, design validation process FMEA, DFM, firmware unit, integration, and system testing.


Junior Electronics Engineer Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of hardware and embedded software for use within products.
  • Building of prototypes.
  • Running effective testing and diagnostics that validate product requirements.
  • Assessment and documentation of products against specifications and standards.
  • Writing instructions, reports, and handling other required administrative duties.
  • Coordinate with and assist other departments.
  • Observe existing processes and identify areas of improvement.
  • Showing initiative and keeping up with advancements in Electronics.
