We are a successful school with a large Sixth Form located near Willenhall, with easy access to the M6 motorway network.The Governing Body are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a successful team of staff.

The Behaviour Support Assistant supports the school, under an agreed system of supervision, in addressing the needs of students who require particular support to overcome behavioural, emotional or social barriers to learning in order for them to engage fully with learning in a mainstream context.The successful candidate will:* Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills including GCSE Maths and English Grade C or equivalent.* Be able to demonstrate strong behaviour management and excellent working knowledge of how to respond to safeguarding concerns.* Have the ability to build positive and appropriate working relationships with both students and colleagues.* Have experience of working with students with specific/individual needs.* Have the ability to support students pastorally with their emotional, social and mental health and wellbeing, to ensure good progress is made.* Have the ability to accurately record relevant pastoral and safeguarding detail.* Have the ability to communicate effectively with all relevant stakeholders and attend meetings as a representative of the school.* Support and promote the Catholic ethos, mission, aims and objectives of the school.* Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.* Be flexible and a good team player.For more information, and to request an application pack including job description, please contact Jodie Massie at Hays Education onM: E: st.Closing date: 12 noon Wednesday 29th January 2025Interviews: Week commencing Monday 3rd February 2025 OR Monday 10th February 2025Early applications are encouraged.
