Role - Night Shift Maintenance Engineer

Location - Hull

Salary - £45,000 - £50,000

Shift Pattern - 4 on 4 off (NIGTHS ONLY)

A leading manufacturing company based in Hull is seeking a dedicated Night Shift Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the performance of the site during the night shift.

Key Responsibilities of a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer:

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on a range of manufacturing equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment operates safely, reliably, and in compliance with company standards.
  • Work proactively to identify and implement improvements to increase reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with the night team to ensure a seamless production operation.

A Successful Night Shift Maintenance Engineer will be:

  • Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, and hydraulics is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently during night shifts.
