Shift Pattern - 4 on 4 off (DAYS ONLY)

Due to recent growth, a leading manufacturing company based in Hull is looking to strengthen its engineering department with the appointment of a Maintenance Engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of machinery and equipment at the site.

Key Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer:

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a variety of manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to ensure equipment is running efficiently.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance operational performance

A Successful Maintenance Engineer will be:

  • Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, and hydraulics is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach to work.
