Assistant Finance Manager

SF are currently recruiting for an Assistant Finance Manager based in Derby on a permanent basis. This role offers flexible working and 2 days working from home and progression for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities
- To support the month end process ensuring control files are in place.
- To manage, analyse and collate project costs and work closely with Project Management team.
- To be responsible for managing EU/US fright and depot fee's, including full reconciliations.
- To manage the sales service invoices and passthrough costs process for customers and record cost of sales accordingly.
- To manage the drafting, processing, and reconciling of recharge invoices across the group.
- To be responsible for the opening of new customer & supplier accounts, including adhering to due diligence processes and obtaining documentation required for setting up new accounts
- To assist with the completion of the monthly management accounts (e.g. accruals, prepayments and reconciliations) and the closing of AR and AP at month end
- Manage divisional month end reporting including sales analysis, cos, by project.
- To assist with the completion of the weekly cash flow forecast
- To act as custodian of financial records ensuring they are raised and filed correctly, and archived appropriately
- To undertake general administration duties and any other reasonable requests that may be required to meet the needs of the business
- To develop working knowledge and understanding of the duties of other members of the finance team to ensure cover can be provided for annual leave or other absence
