Alderley Park Recuitments notable client in the recruitment technology industry is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager. This is a permanent role, based in their office 5 days a week in Wilmslow, Cheshire. The role is paying a basic salary of £28,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience + commission.

It's a service designed for companies looking to outsource recruitment efforts while maintaining high-quality results.

The Role:

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our recruiter customer base. You will be responsible for prospecting potential customers, aligning them with our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), and overseeing the full sales cycle from initial qualification to closing the deal and executing contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify and prospect potential customers who align with our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) in the recruitment industry.
  • Utilise various prospecting techniques, such as cold calling, email outreach, networking, and leveraging online platforms, to engage with potential customers and generate leads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target companies, understanding their needs and pain points.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition of our recruiter marketplace, highlighting the benefits and advantages of using our platform for recruiters.
  • Qualify leads by conducting needs assessments, understanding their requirements, and determining their suitability as potential customers.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations, showcasing the features and functionalities of our platform to highlight its value to prospective customers.
  • Develop and present tailored proposals and pricing solutions based on customer needs, negotiating contracts and closing deals to achieve sales targets.
  • Collaborate closely with the customer success team to ensure a smooth transition from the sales process to onboarding and implementation.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to the Commercial Director.

In order to be successful you must have the following skills and experience;

  • Proven track record of success in a similar business development or sales role preferably within the recruitment or HR industry.
  • Strong understanding of the recruitment industry including knowledge of the challenges trends and best practices - preferred but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with and influence key decision-makers
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals
  • Strong negotiation and persuasive skills to effectively drive contracts to closure
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools to manage and track sales activities
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a strong desire to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced dynamic work environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
